This highly prestigious award is a wonderful validation of our philosophy that small choices by us all can make a real difference.
This award is also a great affirmation by The Observer newspaper that sustainability can become the fashion of the future. So we would like to say a big thank you and congratulations to The Observer, Lucy Siegle, their ethical living columnist, and Ecover for bringing this to the attention of the public. We have also been awarded the first ever ‘Sustainable Retailer of the Year’ Award, promoted by the Daily Mail. This accolade, also sponsored by the Design Council, was part of an awards programme established to celebrate the excellence of the UK's interiors industry and to reward high street and independent retailers.
We were competing with such established names as the Body Shop, Fresh & Wild, Lakeland and Traidcraft, and feel honoured to have won.
