Most wormeries are designed with function, not style, in mind. But this wormery elegantly combines both. The middle two layers house your worms and waste, while the top layer is a planter for bedding flowers - turning the wormery into a lovely garden feature. It earns its keep, too - transforming your kitchen and garden waste into compost and liquid feed for your plants. Made from 100% recycled plastic. Can be used inside or out and the stacking system enables more waste to be processed without taking up additional space. Worms are also included – worms can be dispatched with the wormery or a worm voucher can be supplied if you wish to wait before setting it up. How does it work? At the bottom of the wormery is an urn with a tap, which collects and drains off the liquid plant feed. The next level up is the first layer for food scraps; when you've filled it, add the next composter and start adding to it. Once the first composter is full simply start adding waste to the second composter. The worms will work their way up through the holes in the bottom as they will always move to where the food is! By the time the second composter is full most of the worms will have left the 1st composter leaving it full of worm casts which are the richest natural fertiliser. The system is self perpetuating: the worms fulfil their natual life cycle within the unit, as long as you keep adding your waste the worms will keep on working! Finally, the top level is a planting tub, designed to make your wormery suitable for keeping on display. Plant it up and enjoy the worm's hard work!
