Fair Trade by Nepalese Craftswomen

Made by a rural group of women in Kathmandu, Nepal, the employees of this producer, who is a member of BAFTS, are fairly paid enabling them to support their families in rural Nepal.
Handmade in the Himalayas, these beautiful, top quality woollen accessories are just so special in so many ways! Not only do their lovely autumnal colours (perfect for mixing and matching) and unusual designs exude a wonderful ‘joie de vivre’ but they also help to supplement the subsistence income of small farmers in Nepal who knit when the daily work is finished or slow. By supplying year round orders to the knitters they are assured regular and reliable income. The Maya Hoody and felt accessories are produced as part of a fair trade project in a unit in Kathmandu.

All the woollen items in this range can be machine washed on a
wool cycle or handwashed in luke warm water.
