The Story of Organic Wool

The production of this organic wool is very carefully regulated by the IMO (Institute of Marketecology – Certification of eco-friendly products, organic agriculture, and management systems): every link in the process must be carefully monitored. Many of the usual procedures involved in wool production - alkaline baths and moth treatments - are not permitted. Each stage must meet the standards of biodegradability and toxicity set out by the IMO, which is why organic wool is (at the moment) fairly rare.
