Bodyclocks use a special sunshine neodymium bulb, but the level of light is the same as a normal light bulb so they are not a substitute for a lightbox. With a lightbox, it's the sheer brightness of the light that affects brain chemistry, whereas with Bodyclocks it's the way the light works that has a therapeutic effect.
