The wax of these candles is amazingly derived from the Arrayan shrub which is native to the Guatemalan Cloud Forest and grows naturally and easily there. It also enriches the soil with nitrogen and prevents further erosion. The sale of the candles provides an alternative income for most staple food requirements, reducing the need to slash and burn more forest. The candles come with an explanatory leaflet about the project. These candles are bunched in sets of 10 and burn for approx 2 hours (L15cm). (Contains a small percentage of beeswax*).
