Soap nuts are fractured, so not whole nuts. The zip on the bag for containing them in the wash failed after just the 3rd wash, so had to remove them from the drum and washing (bit of a pain to have to do, but not awful). It has been used since without problems, so will see how long it lasts.

VERY easy to use product that will last a long time. Comes in one large plastic bag inside the hessian sack. They look just like actual nuts and you use about 4 per wash inside a small, reusable hessian pocket that holds them. I am used to more perfumed smell from past laundry products but I think it's just a case of getting used to something new.

I love using these in my laundry. They reduce the cost of a wash, are better for the environment and my skin. I also plan on using soap nuts to make my own soap and shampoo.
I have been using these soap nuts for about 4 years. They are surprisingly effective and get clean quite dirty clothes. That they are so eco friendly is a real bonus. When finished with they go on the compost heap. One of the best points is that there is no residual smell. And there is no rinsing necessary. A wonderful cleaning product for the washing machine.
