Millton Dry Flint Chenin Blanc (Gisborne, New Zealand) - You can smell ripe apple, tracking towards quince and waxy pears. On the palate the finely grained tannin from fruit and large wood bind into the clipped yet refreshing acidity, an alluring rich honeyed character will develop and intensify with time. This wine is biodynamic and suitable for vegetarians.
Battle of Bosworth Chardonnay Viognier (Mclaren Vale, Australia) - The Chardonnay grapes are harvested first with the tardy Viognier needing that bit longer to reach optimum ripeness. The grapes are vinified separately and the Viognier is fermented in older French barriques which is what gives the wine that lovely creamy, vanilla edge. The final wine has a strong tropical fruit character as well as a clear nectarine scent. Super stuff and a good choice with roasted root vegetables. This wine is suitable for vegetarians.
Nuevo Mundo reserva Sauvignon Blanc (Maule Valley, Chile) - A subtle and elegant wine with white peach, pear and mineral qualities with a crisp yet lingering finish. From Chile’s first carbon neutral winery. This wine is suitable for vegans.
Petit Chablis, Philippe Goulley (Burgundy, France) - Philippe Goulley was a pioneer in making organic Chablis and this lovely wine has a pretty pale yellow appearance with hints of green. The nose is open and generous with red apple and pineapple flavours. The palate is flinty with depth which comes from lees ageing. This wine is suitable for vegans.
Verdicchio Barone Pizzini (Castelli di Jesi, Italy) - Tired of oaky whites? Looking for something other than Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc? Look no further than this stylish Verdicchio from the east coast of central Italy. Striking citrus fruits with the attractive nutty flavours for which this grape is rightly famous. Steely dry this wine will simply sing with simply grilled fish. This wine is biodynamic and suitable for vegans.
Bodega Ijalba ‘Genoli’ (Rioja, Spain) - The ultimate white tapas wine?! Dry, bright citrus fruits all perfectly expressed with enlivening acidity from 100% viura grapes. Unoaked, light to medium bodied yet not at all short on flavour. This wine is suitable for vegans.
