Q: Hi, I am looking to buy an eco kettle but I find that most of them tend to be very noisy whilst coming to the boil, is this one a relatively quiet boiler?
A: This new Eco Kettle is designed to be a quiet boiler, and is reportedly even quieter than the original model.

Q: I would like to know how efficient the filter is in this as my current kettle purchased only 6 weeks ago lets through lots of limescale and I would like to replace it with one that doesn't.
Many thanks
Felicity Cook
A: Hi Felicity,
We use an Eco Kettle in our office every day, and have never encountered a problem with limescale. However, the level of limescale problems encountered does depend greatly on how hard the water is in your area.
The manufacturer advises that to maintain optimum performance, it may be necessary to remove limescale deposits from time to time. This can be achieved simply by using a proprietary cleaner made specially for kettles, and following the makers instructions.
I hope this helps, Jo.

Q: Dear Natural Collection,
I am curious to know how much noise the eco kettle makes when heating up; I am looking for a kettle that has a peaceful sound while making my cup of tea!
yours sincerely,
NT
A: Hi, we have tested the product in the office, with just over a cup's worth of water and the kettle is much quieter than average. We measured the decibel level using a nifty gadget and can inform you that the kettle reached 65 decibels at it's loudest, towards the end of the boiling phase. I hope this helps, Robyn.

Q: Hi, can you tell me how heavy this kettle is when empty... I've heard it is heavy but don't know how it compares to others; also can you fill through spout and do you find it user friendly...sorry lots of questions. Thank you.
A: Hi, the Eco Kettle 2 weighs 1.34kg completely empty.
Using the Eco Kettle takes a little while getting used to, as it is fundamentally different to other kettles in design. It is very user friendly, however, especially when you consider that when filled completely you can boil only what's necessary, leaving the rest of the water in the kettle, saving time by not needing to fill from the tap as often. The hinges and structure of the Eco Kettle are smooth and sturdy and the volume measurements are very clear and helpful.
The Eco Kettle can be filled through the spout directly to the boiling chamber, but ideally is filled through the top of the kettle to the main chamber, where water is then transferred to the boiling chamber.
I hope this helps. Robyn.

Q: Hi
I have Eco kettle 1 at home and ecently bought Eco 2 for work. Think it looks cool but having issue with lid clicking open when we push water into front chamber and then we pour cold water out as well. Have you experienced this?
Thanks
Mandy
A: Hi Mandy, yes we've heard of this before.
You need to ensure the lid is fully down before boiling the kettle and pouring the water. It might be that the handle at the top is stuck. Did you know that the plunger ( the bit that looks like a joystick at the top) can be pushed down and twisted to lock into place - which then boils both chambers of the kettle? It might be that the plunger is stuck between being 'locked' and 'open' therefore isn't closing properly.
I hope this helps. Robyn.
