Q: Hi will the freeloader be able to charge itself in winter in south east england please? If not, how much of the year can I expect it to work for please? Thanks
A: Hi, the freeloader will work all year around, however, the manufacturer states that light quality plays a key role in determining the speed of charge. Outside in bright sunlight is the best position for the Freeloader to charge fully and efficiently. The device isn't sensitive to temperature, but cloudy days or the Freeloader being positioned behind a glass window will increase the time needed to charge its battery, possibly taking up to one and a half times longer to charge. The brighter the red charging light, the faster full charge will be achieved.
The Freeloader can also be charged via USB, so it can be used all year round as a portable energy device.
I hope this helps. Robyn.

Q: Hi, Just wondered if it would charge my Pentax Optio S5z digital camera. Its a camera that you have to take out the square battery and recharge from the plug normally. Thanks.
A: Hi, I'm afraid the Freeloader Solar Charger cannot charge a camera that uses a battery charged by a dock into the mains. You might be interested in the Freeloader Pro Solar Charger, which comes complete with the "CamCaddy", a unique power cradle which is capable of powering nearly all types of camera battery. I hope this helps, Robyn.

Q: Would this be able to power a personal CD player?
A: Hi, there are no personal CD players listed on the Freeloader's compatibility chart, so we can't guarantee the Freeloader will be suitable. Robyn.
