This is a great energy meter to use, it's cheap and simple and gives you all the information you need. Unlike some of its competitors it does not itself use any electricity or batteries. The only slight problem is the shape does not allow it to fit every socket but for a quick energy check you can move your gadget to another socket for testing.

Q: What do Hi and Lo signify? I guessed they would be the highest and lowest rate of watts since the device reset or started but that does not seem to be the case.

A: 'Hi' and 'Lo' relate to the highest and lowest levels of power consumed by the appliance that your energy meter is monitoring, which is relevant for appliances such fridges which are not consistent in their power usage.
