For this collection, they have delved into the hidden corners of women\u2019s history for inspiration and shaped their collection around women who celebrated nature and created a legacy that can be viewed and admired today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUN GARDENS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first form of photography was named cyanotype and was pioneered in the 1840s by Anna Atkins. Anna has a lifelong interest in plants and botany. She used the cyanotype process to record numerous seaweeds, algae and woodland plants that she discovered around her Kent home. Thought\u2019s<\/a> \u2018Sun Garden\u2019 collection embodies and symbolizes the spirit and feel of Anna\u2019s photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection references intense blues and organic forms that Anna was able to create through her prints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the power of the sun has been expressed through rich tones of mustard and gold inspired by Anna on her sunlit walks through her garden in the search of specimens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE WHITE GARDEN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vita Sackville West was part of the 1920s Bloomsbury literary set that were heavily influenced and believed in the importance of the arts. Vita had a strong passion for gardening and created a magical garden of rooms where she spent most of her life at her country estate in \u2018Sissinghurst\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thought\u2019s \u2018The White Garden\u2019 collection has been inspired by Vita\u2019s personal style and the famous white garden \u2018room\u2019 that she created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vita was known for her unconventional dress sense, pairing masculine, traditional country attire with feminine panache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thought\u2019s<\/a> collection references contemporary and androgynous dressing. They have also incorporated a combination of textures and an eclectic print handwriting to reflect the country house interiors that Vita would have known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAPER GARDENS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mary Delaney was born in 1700 and lived a full life in royal and aristocratic circles and it was at the age of 72 that she began a remarkable artistic journey. Mary was inspired to create over 1000 collages of plants in cut paper, all of which she assembled with astonishing skill and botanical accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delicate charm of these images inspired Thought to create this collection as a celebration of Mary\u2019s achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The choice of rich fabrications and colours used in the \u2018Paper Gardens\u2019 collection echoes the decadent royal courts Mary would have known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Velvet takes centre stage in this collection and subtle styling details give nod to the elaborate fashion of the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thought<\/a> take a great deal of time to plan out their new collections and have used stories and the work of inspiring women to do so. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their collection also uses a wide range of sustainable fabrics such as organic<\/a> cotton, bamboo, modal, tencel jersey, recycled wool and recycled polyester velvet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
