The innovative Ecoball from Ecozone provides an eco-friendly laundry solution, using two types of pellets made from minerals and plant-based cleaning agents to lift the dirt away from the material and keep the water soft for an effective clean.
The natural cleaning power means there are no nasty chemical residues left on your laundry, plus the Ecoball is hypoallergenic, Allergy UK approved and gentle on fabrics without compromising on effectiveness. Perfect for use by those who have sensitive skin and those who are trying to live an eco-friendly lifestyle.
Not only is it great for the planet, the Ecoball can save you money too, since it lasts for up to 1000 washes, it’s less than 3p per wash (based on a 30 minutes cycle) and there’s no need to put the laundry on a rinse cycle so it will be finished faster too.
The updated Ecoball includes 1 larger ball, instead of the previous 3 ecoballs, and is free from animal ingredients, animal testing and palm oil.

Have used for years for my laundry. These are replacement balls of the new design as the previous new design balls broke (split/cracked) after about a year - could this be due to the lack of the foam protectors that used to cover the balls?

These wash balls are great for most jobs. I find with whites they are not really up to the job and some stains need extra stain remover. Overall it is a great idea and cheap and chirpy. One set of balls lasts me good three years. Once the seem not to do a good job anymore you can get refills… or should. Last time I got those refills easily from Natural Collection but this year, when I needed them they were not available. I could find some though elsewhere after a quick internet research. As long as you can get the refills, they are very good and as far as I can see very environmentally friendly!

Q: Does it take out the oudor/smell of the clothes or do you need fabric softner for that? Kind regards
A: It shouldn't be necessary to use any other products, however if you miss the smell of fabric softener, then the manufacturer recommends that you use an eco softener such Ecover Fabric Softener. Rather than adding it to the wash, when the wash is complete, remove the Ecobals, add the softener and switch the machine onto a short rinse. I hope this helps, Jo.

Q: Can you use ecoballs in top loading machines? How big a load (in pounds) can they deal with?
A: Ecoballs can be used in Top Loaders, Front Loaders, Twin Tubs and industrial use machines. The manufacturer suggests that if your machine has twice the load capacity of a standard domestic machine then use two sets of Ecoballs™ for maximum results. I hope this helps, Jo.
