About Turtle Bags
Turtle Bags was created in 2004 in response to the lack of ethically sourced reusable shopping bags. Why the name TurtleBags? One of the company’s main concerns is that once many of our country’s plastic bags are discarded, they travel along rivers and stream and end up out at sea. Turtles venturing into UK waters encounter them, and are increasingly mistaking our rubbish one of their favourite snacks, the jellyfish. We have five different species of turtle which venture into British waters, most predominantly the Leatherback turtle. These creatures have been around for 100 million years, and are certainly worth protecting.
Furthermore, these eco-friendly bags are ethically sourced from a small business in India which promises fair wages, support and healthcare to its employees, which can only be a good thing.
