Field Mice Doormat - 65 x 85cm

The Field Mice Doormat from Hug Rug is inspired by the charm of the British countryside. This delightful design features beige field mice amidst long grass and dandelions against a grey/beige background, framed by a dark brown border. Perfect for adding a touch of nature to your home, this doormat is crafted with care at Hug Rug mills in Yorkshire. Made from recycled materials, this doormat is eco-friendly and highly effective at keeping your floors clean, trapping up to 95% of dust, dirt, and mud, and super absorbent, capable of holding up to three times its own weight in water. Additionally, the doormat is machine washable at 30°C and features a non-slip rubber backing for added safety.

The Hug Rug mats are made up of three different layers all using 100% recycled materials. The tufts are made from recycled cotton and microfibres and are bonded to the flexible, anti-slip, rubber backing – made from recycled industrial plastics – by an extra tough fibre membrane made from recycled plastic bottle lid tops.

Hug Rugs work hard to make their rugs as environmentally friendly as possible. Each year they recycle:

• Over 6.5million T-Shirts to use in the cotton tufting
• Over 16million plastic bottles to create the extra tough membrane
• Over 190 tonnes of recycled industrial plastics to use in the backing
• Over 2.5million litre of water to run the mills

Plus their mills in Yorkshire are ZERO WASTE to landfill!

Packaging includes a recycled cardboard header, and are rolled up in a recycled plastic bag to keep the rug clean and together during storage and delivery.

From the outset the Hug Rug has been created and developed to be as environmentally friendly as possible. From the sourcing of raw materials, the development of entirely new manufacturing processes, using cleaner/greener sources of electricity made by hydro pumps, windmill farms and solar, through to its eventual disposal and recycling – everything has been considered to ensure Hug Rug has a light environmental footprint, and products can even be washed at 30°C. Manufactured in the UK at a plant approved by the Carbon Trust and keeps carbon mileage to a minimum.
