The beauty of the gNappies system is that it is a hybrid nappy - combining both washable and disposable components. Combining washable gPants with the biodegradable insert is the perfect combination of both - offering total convenience with a light environmental footprint.
The inserts are revolutionary in their field - the first consumer packaged good product to achieve Cradle-to-Cradle certification and the first nappy solution that's completely biodegradable.

gNappies has created a hybrid nappy that combines all the convenience of a disposable nappy, without the heavy environmental footprint – a high-performing eco-friendly alternative to conventional disposable nappies and innovative solution to the problem of nappies in landfill.
How does it work? Washable gPants form the outer cover. These are made of soft cotton with gentle stretch, and come in a range of vibrant colours and sizes. They offer a non-bulky, snug and comfortable fit and feature a waterproof, breathable pouch inside. Absorbent inserts are fitted inside this pouch to complete the nappy.
If you want to wash, choose washable inserts from gNappies made of hemp and microfleece and line these with a flushable, biodegradable liner for disposing of solids. For a convenient hybrid option, disposable inserts. The gRefill disposable insert is the only 100% biodegradable disposable option on the market and is Cradle-to-Cradle certified.
It’s recommended you start with 6-8 gPants and a good supply of inserts.
gNappies was originally founded by a socially-conscious husband and wife team in Australia. Their nappies have since become popular in the US and now the UK, too.
