Lemons & Lilies Doormat - 65 x 85cm

Designed using inspiration from the home and garden this pretty blue lemons and lilies doormat from Hug Rug brightens up any room in your home whilst keeping your floors and carpets clean. The super-absorbent fibres can trap up to 95% of dirt, dust and mud and can hold up to 3 times its weight in water helping to prevent slips and trips on wet floors and protecting your carpets. Once it’s done cleaning dirty shoes and muddy paws simply pop it in the washing machine at 30°C and watch it come out brand new.

The Hug Rug mats are made up of three different layers all using 100% recycled materials. The tufts are made from recycled cotton and microfibres and are bonded to the flexible, anti-slip, rubber backing – made from recycled industrial plastics – by an extra tough membrane made from recycled plastic bottle lid tops.

Hug Rug works hard to make their rugs as environmentally friendly as possible. Each year they recycle:

• Over 5.9million T-Shirts to use in the cotton tufting
• Over 7.5million plastic bottles to create the extra tough membrane
• Over 2.5million litres of water to run the mills
• Over 100 tonnes of recycled industrial plastics to use in the backing

Plus their mills in Yorkshire are ZERO WASTE to landfill!

Packaging includes a recycled cardboard header, and are rolled up in a recycled plastic bag to keep the rug clean and together during storage and delivery.

From the sourcing of raw materials, the development of entirely new manufacturing processes, using cleaner/greener sources of electricity made by hydro pumps, windmill farms and solar, through to its eventual disposal and recycling – everything has been considered to ensure Hug Rug has a light environmental footprint, and products can even be washed at 30°C. Manufactured in the UK at a plant approved by the Carbon Trust and keeps carbon mileage to a minimum.
