Featuring a raised oak leaf garland decoration around the outside and a tiny acorn at its centre symbolising the wisdom at your own centre, this Fairtrade hand beaten sterling silver Mosami cuff is a stunning piece of jewellery to give as a gift or a special treat for yourself.
The oak leaf embellishment represents the ancient Celts as they believed the oak was linked to the gods and an access to other realms and was therefore honoured as a source of great wisdom. Inside the cuff there is a hand stamped quote reading ‘Do small things with great love, which was said by the inspirational Mother Theresa. This heavy cuff is made using Fairtrade silver, which is currently available in small quantities from just one mine in the world, located in Sotrami in Peru. Mosami works closely with Fairtrade and is optimistic that in time, as more mines are accredited all Mosami pieces will be made using Fairtrade silver. Mosami supports women’s charity Made By Survivors which works with women survivors of trafficking in India Nepal and Cambodia. The project offers the women opportunities to learn to silversmithing and business skills, giving them the chance to provide for themselves and their families for the long term.
