Product Description
These peat-free coir seedling pots are a great eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic pots, made from natural, certified organic coconut fibre and fair trade natural rubber. The coir fibre allows roots to penetrate through the pot to continue to develop reducing the risk of transplanting shock making these seedling pots perfect for seeds, seedlings and cuttings as they can just be planted directly into the ground or larger containers. These small round seedling pots will degenerate into their natural components over time adding texture to the soil without changing the composition.
Plastic-Free Gardening sources its rubber from suppliers whose plantations are certified not to have not replaced natural forests, in this case, a small plantation in Sri Lanka. The workers receive a Fair Trade premium to help improve their working and living conditions.
