Made from organic sheep’s wool and rubberised with natural rubber from sustainably managed forests this fair trade triple twisted gardening twine is super strong and an essential for any keen gardener. Fully biodegradable its great to use for climbing plants and offer plant support and is 100m in length so will last a long time!
The wool is from The Sangla Valley in the Himalayan high valleys bordering Tibet in which organically certified flocks of sheep are kept. Sheep keepers and shepherds have been trained here for over 2 years and certification has been carried out. Today they can boast of being the first in India to produce certified organic virgin sheep's wool. The natural rubber is sourced from a small rubber plantation in India. The workers receive a Fair Trade premium to help improve their working and living conditions.
