Based on my experience the instruction not to tumble dry is either CYA or nothing to do with suitability.

Q: These come in small, med and large. What is a size 10?!

A: Hi, the sizes equate roughly to the following UK sizes:
Small: UK 8-10
Medium: UK 10-12
Large: UK 12-14
