The next generation of portable solar charger – complete with a monkey nut!

The Solar Monkey is the successor to the highly acclaimed Power Monkey Explorer, using the same high gain solar panel system, but with the added ability to save collected energy into a smaller capacity device, the "Monkey Nut". This means that when the clouds come out you can still achieve maximum charge, and it also stores extra standby power so you’ll always be able to recharge that all-important portable device, make that crucial call and listen to your favourite iPod playlist one extra time.

This solar charger works a treat in direct sunlight, but will even charge from any non-fluorescent light for instant power on the move, at home or at work.

The Solar Monkey comes with a range of connector tips as well as a travel pouch and storage case, making it the essential travel companion that you’ll soon not be able to do without.

Product Compatibility:

  • Nokia and Mini Nokia, Motorola V66, Samsung E900, LG Chocolate and Sony Ericsson wide connectors.
  • Mini USB for Motorola RAZR V3 abd V3c, Blackberry and other Mini USB powered devices.

  • iPod Apple approved charging tip.

Q: hi how many years is its battery expected to last for and how long would it take to charge an ipod nano and an older nokia phone, please? thanks very much :0)

A: Hi, as the solarmonkey doesn't itself contain a battery, it can keep going and going. The monkey nut has been tested up to 1000 times and still works. A regular mobile phone should fully charge in 6 hours if the sun conditions are good. For an ipod, it depends on the size of the battery and the sun, but it should be roughly 6 hours also. I hope this helps, Robyn.
