I have used the dryer balls with great success. My laundry and towels are definitely softer with no static. I have also noticed a definite improvement in drying time which, when you have a lot of loads to dry is going to save quite a lot of energy. All in all a fab product.
I bought these just before christmas as they claim to reduce dryer time. Whilst they also claim to improve softness, this was not an issue for me as i find tumbling softens the laundry anyway. My dryer is a 'spin both ways' type and i wonder if this is the reason that these balls didn't nmake any difference to the dryer times (in fact they seemed to slightly lenghten it). If you have an ond 'spin in only one direction' dryer, or you use softeners for your laundry then maybe give these a go, if not don't worry yourself.
