Ordered Molasses as I had run out. Haven't actually opened the jar yet, but I always like to have some in the cupboard for baking with as an alternative to sugar.

We use this in warm milk to make delicious drinks. Its full of iron and tasty too, so I often recommend it to friends who are anaemic. The children seem to have finished the jar in about a week, so I'll be ordering more of this.

Product just as expected, nice taste. One of three jars arrived wityh loose lid, luckily each had been packed in bubble-wrap, so only leaked over itself! Can you imagine the mess in the box if it had leaked all over?!

This is a most remarkable product in terms of the concentration of nutrients. It is not sweet in the way of sugar or honey but it does have a very interesting - and sweetish - flavour. I add it to my hot drink of honey/cider vinegar, partly for its taste but mostly for its nutritional value. My son (then 2 years) wanted to have what I was having, so I gave him a tiny amount of the molasses dissolved in lukewarm water and he really liked it! My mother tells me that elderly women in India take a drink of blackstrap molasses (called "raab")in hot water as a health drink, so well known are its nutritional properties. Do try it, but don't add it to your tea in place of sugar!!
