I've been using Natracare Ultra pads for a while. They're good in that they are made from natural materials that don't cause irritation. My only criticism is that they are not really durable enough for heavy periods and have to be changed to frequently. It would be useful if Natracare produced a pad for very heavy periods.

Natracare are my favourite brand but hard to find in shops and buying them online works out cheaper
I have sensitive skin and became increasingly fed up with the irritating plastic Always pads I'd used ever since my mum started me on them years ago. So I went in search of a better alternative away from the supermarket shelves and was so pleased to find these... I was initially disappointed that these weren't as sticky on the back as the plastic sort I was used to and didn't expect them to 'stay put' but persevered and they work just fine. Been using them for about six months and find them far more comfortable than plastic, they feel fresher, have never caused me a minutes irritation and cope more than well with my heavy flow. I will never ever use plastic pads again and only wish I'd found these years ago.

These are very useful, particularly for my daughter who has learning difficulties and sensitive skin.
These are really comfortable, feel much nicer than other pads I have used and seem to be better for the health of my skin too. I use these ones at night and find the extra length really good because I shift about a lot in my sleep, but I find they are too long for the day, when I use the regular ones.
I used always pads for years, and thought they were the most comfortable pads, especially in comparison with other brands you buy in the supermarkets.
A friend recommended natracare pads to me about 3 years ago after I voiced a worry about using pads with bleach in them.
So I got myself a couple of boxes & have never looked back. They took a couple of months to get used to - they are thinner than most pads, so I worried they weren't doing their job well, but they have proved to work just as well, and being thinner (and softer, being made of cotton) means you don't notice you have a pad on so much - and for me that really does make for a happier period.
I have heavy periods, and so have to wear the longest pads available. The long natracare pads really are long, so excellent if you have a heavy period or sit down a lot of the day at a desk etc (minumum leakage). I also used to notice a slight rustling when I wore the most absorbent always pads which made me slightly self conscious. Because the natracare pads are cotton, they don't rustle, so problem solved.
I have to note that I only use the natracare pads with wings, so can't speak for the pads without wings. I also still use always pads for night time. The natracare pads that come in bags not boxes (the night pads are some of these) tend to be without wings and are thicker, which I find more uncomfortable.
So all in all, I highly recommend natracare sanitary towels. I find them a much more comfortable and healthier alternative. I have ecouraged many of my other friends to use them - they have all now switched from their usual brands to natracare.
