Q: Could you tell me what method is used to decaffeinate this coffee please? Many thanks.
A: Hi, Thanks for the query. This coffee was decaffeinated using the CO2 sparkling water technique, where the pores of the coffee granules are opened up by water and then mixed with carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide acts as a magnet for the caffeine; sucking it out of the coffee. Once this has happened, the carbon dioxide is removed. This method is great because the carbon dioxide only removes caffeine; leaving the proteins and carbohydrates of the coffee completely untouched. Hope this helps, Kind Regards
