I make the mix into a large sausage and place it on shortcrust pastry with mushrooms and grated cheese. I then make a plat by bringing the pastry in ribbons over the top. I finish off with a brush and beaten egg to get a nice glaze.
We always have this as a store cupboard staple, very versatile, a good base for loads of recipes, not bad on it’s own as sausage burgers either.
