Great to have a deodorant with no plastic packaging. No trouble with pushing up the stick, but after a while of using it the lid is stiffer to put on - not a big problem! It is a firm product and doesn't glide on like some deodorants, but we like it and it's easy to use and smells nice. I'm surprised that my husband, who had always used the same deodorant for years, really likes this one!
I was so delighted to find a product that has NO plastic packaging, fabulous!rnUnfortunately, the deodorant stick itself is made of a kind of solid coconut type oil - when trying to apply it, the stick 'drags' across the skin and is very difficult to use. I'm wondering if it's been in the warehouse too long and that's why it's lost it's aroma and become so dry and tough to use? I bought one for myself and one for my boyfriend, his was the same. Such a shame as it's a lovely idea AND made in the UK too.
I have an issue with this product. It's not the actual deodorant, which is lovely, or the plastic-free ethics, which I applaud - it's the packaging. The idea with this is that, in order to expose more product from the tube, you push up from the bottom. But it won't budge. After much experimentation I found that the only way to get it to move was to put lay it on top of a radiator for about 30 mins to allow it to melt a bit, then push gently (otherwise it shoots out), and allow it too cool. Unfortunately you also get leakage from the bottom. This packaging needs a rethink. It might work in the tropics, but not in the UK.
