Naturally filter your tap water remove impurities, chlorine, chloramines and odour with this pack of four zero-waste Ecoliving Bamboo Charcoal Water Filters. Hand fired in clay kilns in Japan by experienced crafters. There’s no need for expensive filtration systems with throw-away cartridges - just pop all four into a 1-litre jug of water to gently treat your water and slowly add natural minerals including potassium and magnesium. When they finally come to the end of their life, recycle with your food or garden waste or use in the garden, crumbled charcoal filters will help to aerate the soil, absorb excess moisture in heavy rain and release it in dry spells.

Q: Hello How long does one charcoal last? How will i know its time to replace it? Thanks
A: Hi there, Thanks for your query. Eco living has instructions on their site that advises to replace charcoal after 2 months, I will copy below for you. Use approx: 1 litre jug = 3 - 4 pieces; 2 litre jug = 6 - 8 pieces 1. Wash in running water to remove powder (do not use detergent). 2. Boil for 10 mins in a pan of water to sterilise & allow to cool and dry. 3. Place in a jug and fill with tap water (charcoal may float when new but it will tend to sink after a week or so of use). 4. Leave for 8 hours or more for best results. You can leave it in the fridge to chill if you like. It's then ready to drink. 5. Re-sterilise once a week by repeating step 2. 6. Replace with new charcoal after 2 months approx. I hope this helps, Kind regards.
