Made from pure unrefined olive oil, Oliva is kind and gentle to the skin.
Should you wish to cut the 600g bar into smaller, more managable sizes, the producer has recommended placing the bar into a microwave and heating for approximately 20 seconds. This will allow easy cutting with a sharp knife.

The first problem was cutting this giant bar down to manageable chunks for using. When I tried to cut it up, it splintered. Eventually managed to get 2 or 3 bar-of-soap-size pieces after heating up a sharp knife. Sadly it wasn't really worth the effort as the soap doesn't smell nice, doesn't lather up (I know eco-soaps don't lather as much, but this didn't at all), didn't clean well, and we ended up throwing the rest away.

I bought this after seeing someone using it on Shop Well for the Planet. It can be used as a personal soap and also I use it for washing up, you only need a tiny bit. It as an excellent degreaser and the only problem is that the normal microfibre cloths I was using just soak up the oil and go a bit solid so you need to use an alternative type or wash cloths out with soda crystals. I found microwaving the large bar for a minute allowed it to be sliced into more convenient slabs. I do not find it less drying than regular soap on the skin though, which I was hoping for from seeing other reviews for olive oil soap.
Maybe not the easiest thing to cut, but got a clean 1” slice with a sharp kitchen knife, after microwaving the block for 40 mins. Economical way to get small bars for the bathroom and for travel. rnSmells nice, and leaves hands soft and clean.
